Alesio was named to D&B's board of directors in May 2002. He also served as D&B's president and chief operating officer from May 2002 to December 2004. Alesio was D&B's senior vice president of Global Marketing, Strategy Implementation, E-Business Solutions™ and Asia-Pacific/Latin America from January 2001 to April 2002. He announced that he will retire from Dun & Bradstreet effective June 30, 2010.
Before joining D&B, Alesio spent 19 years with American Express, serving as president and general manager of the Business Services Group and as a member of that company's Planning and Policy Committee, a position he held from January 1996 to December 2000. Alesio is also the founding sponsor and senior advisor for the non-profit, All Stars Project of New Jersey, which provides outside-of-school leadership development and performance-based education programming to thousands of inner-city young people in Newark and its surrounding communities.
Alesio received a bachelor's degree from St. Francis College, Pennsylvania, and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
Alesio's election to Genworth's Board of Directors increases the size of the Board from eleven to twelve directors.
